Brandy Yates

Brandy Yates is a fiction writer and creative writing instructor and consultant. She received the Ph.D. in English with Creative Dissertation in Fiction from Texas Tech University. Her work won So to Speak's fiction contest and has placed in competitions with Gertrude and Ropewalk Presses.
Her stories have been published in literary journals such as PoemMemoirStory, Pilgrimage Magazine, Gertrude Journal, and So to Speak: A Feminist Journal of Language and Art. During the summer, she is on faculty at the Ada Long Creative Writing Workshop at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She recently completed a novella, Witness the River, and is currently at work on a novel, A Circle of Salt.
