Don Challenger

Don Challenger is a retired journalist and teacher who now writes fiction and music. He most recently worked as college editor at Hamilton College in upstate New York, and has taught at Syracuse University’s Newhouse School and the New School University.
He is co-author of Contemporary Editing, now in its third edition with Routledge. His first album — The First State, recorded as half of the Beausage Brothers with longtime musical partner and producer Charlie Everett — is being released this spring, and he continues work on a first novel, Magnetic North. He claims to enjoy grammar “because a great sentence is always the sum — or more than the sum — of the small choices that go into it."
