The Rehoboth Beach Writers’ Guild is founded on the belief that as writers we can--and should--use our skills and talents to help give voice to the many people who have important and necessary stories to tell that, for whatever reason, are not being told. Through our Free Writes! Reading Series and Young Writers’ Program, we hope to educate, encourage and nurture writing of all kinds at all skill levels.

Looking for Submissions

The Delmarva Review announced the submission period for its fifth annual edition. All writers are encouraged to submit their best original short stories, poetry and essays from November 1, 2011 to February 28, 2012. The annual literary review seeks compelling and memorable prose and poetry from all writers. While most writing is from the Chesapeake region, the Review publishes original work from authors beyond regional borders. Submission categories include short fiction, up to 5,000 words, poetry up to 50 lines each, and creative nonfiction, up to 3,000 words. Writers will be notified by April 2012 if their work has been accepted. Publication will be in October. Interested writers should follow the submission guidelines on the website www.delmarvareview.com.
